Last Saterday forenoon, 8 June, Mrs. A. A. McLeland died in this city after an illness of several months, the cause of death being heart trouble. She and her husband were early pioneers of this county settling on a homestead northeast of Lamberton in 1872, where they resided until a few years ago when they moved into town.

Deceased's maiden name was Electa Green and she was born in Washington county, N.Y., 16 Jan. 1833, and was married to A. A. McLeland at Royalton, N.Y., in 1864. They moved from there to Postville, Iowa, where they lived for 8 years, and in 1872 came to Redwood county, homesteading on section two, Lamberton township, where they lived until several years ago, thence into Lamberton.

She leaves an aged husband to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and helpmate, who has the sympathy of the community in his sad affliction.

The funeral was held Sunday, 10 June, from the Congregational church. Interment in the city cemetery.-- Lamberton Star (Minn.).
