Fatal Reaper Accident.
John Kaufmann, residing northeast of Postville on Yellow River, met with a terrible accident on Friday of last week, which resulted in his death on Sunday. As we learn, the team that was attached to a reaping machine became frightened in some way and started to run. Mr. Kaufmann caught them by the bit and endeavored to stop them, but was thrown down and the machine, sickle bar and all, passed over him. He was not cut so badly as might have been supposed by the sickle but his bones were broken and internal injuries were sustained. It was a sudden and terrible ending of "life's (unreadable word) fever."
