William O. Rankin passed away Thursday evening, Nov. 30, at the hospital at Rochester, where he had been for the last three months, his death being due to a complication of diseases. The deceased was born at Myron, Iowa, and in 1897 became a resident of Prosper, Minn., where he lived until the year 1908 when he moved to Decorah and made his home. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. James Rankin of Postville, Iowa. On Nov. 25th, 1890, the deceased was united in marriage to Miss Addie Davis, who preceded him in death eleven years ago. To this union one child, a daughter, Mrs. Maybelle Sharp, of Decorah, was born, who survives. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Lambert, of Waterloo.
