Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas Danaher, 78, were held Tuesday at St. Mary's church in Dorchester.

As Helen Schwartzhoff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Schwartzhoff, Mrs. Danaher was born in Waterloo township. She married Thomas Danaher in 1901. He died in 1921. She was postmistress in Dorchester for a number of years and operated the phone exchange in her home.

She is survived by two sons, Marcel, St. Joseph, Mo, and Bert, Dorchester; three daughters, Mrs. Val Molz, Antigo, Wis., Mrs. Ben Franklin, Omaha, Neb. and Mrs. John Bode, Dayton, O.; and among several brothers and sisters, these living in the area--Mrs. Maurice Waters of Dorchester and James and William Schwartzhoff of Dubuque.

Note: The obituary lists her age as 78 at the time of her death and gives no birth date. Cemetery records give a date of birth of 30 April 1875 which would have made her 75 years-old at the time of her death.
