John Boese

Private inurnment services will be held Saturday, July 7, 2001, at the Postville cemetery in Postville for John Boese. The Schutte Funeral and Cremation Service of Postville is in charge of arrangements.

John Boese, son of Robert and Dorothy (Freeman) Boese was born November 29, 1930 at Postville, Iowa. He passed away on June 11, 2001 in the Good Samaritan Center at Postville, Iowa. He had reached the age of 70 years, 6 months and 12 days.

He attended the Postville Schools and had served in the United States Army from June 1958 to January 1960. After his Army service he was employed by the Hastings Rubber Co. in Hastings, NE. On his return to Postville, John worked at Iowa Turkey Products.

John is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Robert Boese, Jr., Harold Boese and Leo Boese.

Surviving are his 2 sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Postville and Katherine (Pete) Glick of Olin, IA.; 3 brothers, Edward (Jane) Boese of Sunbury, IA, Donald Boese, and Frank Boese both of Waukon, IA. Also surviving are 2 sister-in-laws, Virginia Boese of Postville and Pat Boese of Galveston, TX.
