Word was received here this week by Mrs. Weighner of the passing on of Justin W. Press, former resident of this community, in his home in Richland, Missouri, September 29.
Mr. Press was born at Madison, Wis., in 1855 and came to Postville when a small boy. At the age of 16 he joined the M.E. church, and the Richland paper says of this event, "it was the winter time and a hole was cut in the ice for the baptizing."

In 1905 Mr. and Mrs. Press and children moved to Missouri. He is survived by his wife and a son and daughter, all living in Missouri.
