From the files of the Iowa Volksblatt of 6 April 1900, and appearing in the 25 Years Ago column of the Postville Herald of Thur., 2 April 1925.

After two years of suffering little Gertrude Heins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Heins, died at the age of four years, three months and seven days.

Note: Gertrude is buried in Area A of Postville cemetery.
