Funeral services were held Friday at the Schutte Funeral Home, at 2:00 p.m., for Bradford Seybert, 76, who passed away Wednesday, february 2, at his home in Postville, following a years illness. Rev. Walter T. Martin, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church, officiated and burial was in the Postville cemetery.

Bradford Seybert, son of Joseph and Lydia Gano Seybert, was born August 7, 1878, on a farm in the Springfield district near Postville. He passed away Wednesday, February 2, at his home in Postville, following a years illness. He was 76 years old.

Bradford Seybert attended the Springfield country school, and spent most of his life farming.

On October 15, 1902, he was united in marriage to Helen Rollinson at Waukon. In 1952 they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. To this union five boys and three girls were born.

Bradford Seybert is survived by his wife, Helen Rollinson Seybert, two daughters, Mrs. William (Deva) Howe of Waucoma, Mrs. Harold (Verla) Lawson, of McGregor and Vernon of Postville; two sisters, Mrs. Art (Stella) Harrington and Mrs. Fred (Eva) Gordon; one brother, Fred Seybert of Elkader, sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Mr. Seybert was preceded in death by his four children, Dwight, Robert, Donald and Marilyn; his father and mother, three brothers and a sister.

Bradford Seybert was an active member of the Woodman Lodge for many years. He held membership in the Modern Brotherhood lodge.
