George Albert McClintock, son of William and Ann McClintock, was born in Ludlow township, Allamakee county, Iowa, February 18, 1872. He passed to the future life in the home of his sister, Mrs. E. B. Lamborn of Postville, Iowa, the evening of May 3rd, 1919, aged 47 years, two months and 15 days.

His entire life was spent in the vicinity of Postville, or in town. On February 13, 1898, he was united in holy matrimony to Mary Swenson. To this union was born one daughter, Fern Adaline, now Mrs. Fred Hangartner. Mrs. McClintock passed to her heavenly home February 18th, 1911.

Mr. McClintock was a member of the Modern Brotherhood of America. He began life with practically no assistance. By industry, frugality, and an honest effort he won the respect of a host of friends and neighbors and accumuated a competence for his later years, when broken health prevented his continuing longer in the vocation of farming.

He is survived by one brother and one sister, Fred McClintock of Maxwell, Iowa, and Mrs. E. B. Lamborn of Postville; two half-brothers and a half-sister, J. A. McClintock of Northwood, Iowa; Jess Uhl and Mrs. Mort Deering, both of Postville.

The funeral was held from the Methodist church Monday afternoon, May 5th, conducted by Rev. Hadwen Williams.

A number of floral offerings from friends outside the family were evidence of the esteem in which the deceased was held in this community.

Friends and relatives from out of town in attendance at the funeral were; Fred McClintock, Maxwell, Iowa; J. A. McClintock, Northwood; and J. B. Kimberley, a cousin, from Collins, Iowa.
