Postville Herald, 17 Feb. 1921.

Following an affliction of many months from paralysis, Newton Harvey of this city entered into eternal rest during the early hours of last Sunday morning. Mr. Harvey had been rural route carrier from the Postville postoffice for the past ten years, a duty he performed with fidelity and faithfulness until stricken some months ago. He was an honorable, industrious and upright man in every particular, who made those with whom he came in contact his friends.

He was born in Ossian, Iowa, Feb. 4, 1867, and died at Postville, Iowa, Feb. 13, 1921, at the age of 54 years and 9 days. He was united in marriage July 14, 1896, to Miss Carrie Lukenbill, and this union was blessed with two daughters, Lucile and Blanche, both at home.

Besides his wife and daughters he leaves an aged father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Harvey of Castalia; one brother, F. W. Harvey of Ossian; one sister, Mrs. G. E. Dean of Modesto, Calif.; all of whom mourn the loss of a son, brother, and a loving and faithful husband and father.

Fraternally Mr. Harvey was a beneficiary member of Oak Camp No. 328 Modern Woodmen of America, of this city.

The funeral was held from the family home at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Robert O. Rates of Calmar. Interment in the Postville cemetery.
