Services Held For Wm. Brainard

William Brainard, son of Delbert and Jennie Brainard, was born in Post Township, Allamakee county, August 23, 1888 and passed away December 8, 1958 at the Reedsburg Hospital in Wisconsin.

He received his early education in the rural schools of Allamakee county and grew to manhood in this community. He was employed as a farmer laborer for many years in this county. Mr. Brainard never married and made his home with his parents and relatives. He had recently resided at Reedsburg, Wisconsin.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Amos, Arthur, Fred and Roy, and also one sister, Mrs. Fred Raymond. He is survived by 3 sisters and one brother: Mrs. Bessie Hammon, Waukon, Mrs. Mryl McCrystal of California, Mrs. Ruth Roschien of Roswell, New Mexico, and Edward Brainard of Rockford, Illinois

Service were from Schutte Funeral Home at Postville, with the Rev. Curtis H. Webster of Forest Mills E. U. B. Church officiating. Burial was made in the Minert Cemetery in Post township.
