John Mogk – November 29, 1855 – December 19, 1930

RESIDED AT NORA SPRINGS FOR SIXTY YEARS
FUNERAL SERVICES FOR JOHN MOGK HELD AT EVANGELICAL CHURCH SUNDAY.

Nora Springs – Dec. 28 – Funeral services for John Mogk were held Sunday afternoon, at 2 o’clock at the Evangelical church in charge of the Rev. Adolph Beuerman, pastor of the church. Burial was at Park Cemetery.

Mr. Mogk was born in Allamakee county, near Monona, November 29, 1855, and died December 19, 1930. When he was 14 years old he came to this vicinity where he had lived ofr more than 60 years.

On January 21, 18885, he was married to Miss Rose Kaben. To this union five children were born, all of whom are living in this community. Mr. Mogk had lived on the same farm since their marriage 45 years ago, until about a year ago they moved to Nora Springs..

Surviving Mr. Mogk are his wife, three sons; Will, George and John, and two daughters, Mary and Esther.
He also leaves three half-brothers; Henry Gildner, New Dundee Ontario, Canada, and Henry Gast and George Gast of Nora Springs, and two grandchildren. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
