Francis Beisker

Francis L. Beisker, 69, of Rockford, IL, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 1997 at his home after a short illness.

Born June 27, 1927 in Postville, Iowa, the son of William and Ruth (Stockman) Beisker. He married Maxine Hulbert on March 17, 1947 and moved to Rockford in April 1947.

He was employed for 37 years at the Barber-Colman Company. He enjoyed camping and fishing and was a big race fan. The most important thing in his life was always his family.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine, 3 daughters, Carol (John) Knaus, Barb (Bruce) Kramer and Sue (Terry) Watkins, all of Rockford, 6 grandchildren and a great grandchild, one brother, William of Waterloo, 2 sisters, Cherry Beisker and Daisy Anderson and a niece, Ruth Anderson, of Sherman, TX, two aunts, Jessie Fitzpatrick and Audrey Schroeder of Postville.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, at Sunset Funeral Home of Rockford, IL, with the Rev. Scott Hatfield, chaplain for the VNA Hospice, officiating. Entombment was in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Rockford.
