Obituary.

Nettie S. Stafford.

Came into this life at Postville, Iowa, Nov. 30, 1872, and departed to her heavenly home from Billings, Montana, July 12, 1923, after a lingering illness.

Nettie Stafford was trained for this life in the parental home of George Stafford. She received careful christian training in the home and church, and her mental development was not neglected. She was graduated from the Postville high school with high honors with the class of 1887.

Her marriage to Lewis N. Erickson occured May 20, 1891, and continued in a happy bond until severed by her early departure to the heavenly home, where she waits for the coming of her faithful husband.

They lived together in a number of towns in Iowa until 1909, when they located near Lavina, Montana, where they shared the joys and disappointments of that locality.

Sister Erickson was granted the gift of music and faithfully occupied this gift for the glory of God and the good of man.

She served as director of music in a number of churches and always willingly gave her best to help the kingdom of God. Truely "She hath done what she could" and her life and influence can only be entimated by God himself.

Her husband, Mr. Lewis N. Erickson; a brother, J. A. Stafford of St. Louis, MO.; and a sister, Mrs. Rev. N. E. Hannant of Ft. Shaw, Mont., are the close relatives who mourn for her. Many other relatives and friends remain to say "she was helpful to us."

Her body was commited to the earth at Lavina, Mont., but her spirit has gone to God who gave it.

The funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Lavina, Rev. E. H. Wendland officiating.
