H. P. Dawes Dies In Willow Springs, MO.

Harlan P. Dawes, one of the early settlers of Postville, died Sunday at Willow Springs, Missouri. His body will be brought here for burial Thursday afternoon.

The Dawes family moved from Postville to southern Missouri about thirty-five years ago, where Mr Dawes conducted a newspaper and held for a number of years the office of Probate Judge.

Mr. Dawes was a cousin of Mrs. Hall Roberts and while here was employed in the elevator. He was a carpenter by trade. His wife was the daughter of Mrs. Lassey, one of the founders of the Congregational church and one of Postville's pioneer women, a woman of decided convictions and marked piety.
