Mrs. Katheryn Cole Passes Wednesday; Funeral Held Friday.

Funeral services were held here Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock in St. Bridget's Catholic church for Mrs. Katheryn Cole, 84, who passed away last Wednesday following a long illness. Interment was in Postville cemetery and the services were conducted by the Rev. Francis J. Vallaster, pastor of the church.

Mrs. Cole was born as Katheryn Agnes Lee, daughter of Anthony and Anna Lee, in Huron, Mich., February 15, 1863. Her early life was spent in St. Charles, Mo., Dubuque and Wadena, Iowa.

She was married December 29, 1885, at Wadena to Dr. William Cole and spent the early years of her married life in McGregor. In 1893 the family moved to Postville and here Dr. Cole practised denistry until he passed away June 19, 1912.

To this union four children were born. Lee Allen, who died in infancy, Dr. Harry D. Cole and Anna (Mrs. L. O. Beucher) of Postville and Merle William Cole of Minneapolis, Minn. Mrs Cole is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

For about 25 years Mrs. Cole lived in Minneapolis, returning to Postville about seven years ago to spend her declining years with her children here.

Coming for the funeral of Mrs. William Cole Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Merle W. Cole. and daughter, Marilyn, of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Shafer Cole of Decorah; Alan Beucher of Mt. Vernon; Mr. and Mrs. Gerten Bjelland, Mrs J. E. Perry and Mrs. F. J. Heaverlo, all of Cedar Rapids.
