Otto J. Beucher

Services were held at the Schutte Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon for Otto J. Beucher, who passed away at Postville Hospital on Sunday, January 6. The Rev. Walter T. Martin, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church, officiated. Burial was in Postville cemetery.

Otto J. Beucher, son of P. J. Beucher and Lena Olson Beucher, was born in Postville, Iowa on December 1, 1888 and passed away at Postville Hospital on January 6, 1957.

He graduated from Postville high school and attended the State University of Iowa at Iowa City for 2 years. He was married to Adelaide Harris on May 8, 1917.

Mr. Beucher operated a dray line for many years and then built and managed the Bowling Lane in Postville, retiring in 1953.

He was a member of Brotherly Love Lodge 204 A. F. & A. M. of Postville.

He leaves his wife; two brothers, Leo Beucher of Postville and Harry Beucher of Los Angeles, California; and one sister, Mrs. Louis Trunecek (Helen) of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Mrs. Lynn McEwen (Louise) and Mrs. R. F. Hein (Lottie).
