Fred Harnack Funeral Was Held Here Friday.

Funeral services were held here on Friday for Fred W. Harnack who had passed away at a La Crosse, Wis., hospital last Monday. Services were held in St. Paul's Lutheran church, with the Rev. F. R. Ludwig officiating, and interment was in Postville cemetery. Pallbearers were Emil Block, Elmer Mohs, Leonard Schlee, Lester Kipp, Harlan Harnack and Elmer Eberling.

Mr. Harnack was born in Clayton county, January 29, 1876, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joachim Harnack.

He was married to Miss Lena Warnholz on October 16, 1907, in Postville and the couple lived here until going to a farm near Waukon 15 years ago. Since February they had lived in Waukon. Mrs. Harnack and a daughter, Irene, Mrs. Oliver Hermeier, survive, as do the following sisters and brothers, Mrs. Anna Mohs, Mrs. Emma Eberling, Mrs. Lizzie Block and Mrs. Lena Sebastian, Louis, Joe and Lester Harnack, all of Postville, and Mrs. Laura Schmidt of Owatonna, Minn.

Fred Harnack Passes On; Funeral Is Here Friday
Fred Harnack, 66, a former Postville resident, passed away at a LaCrosse, Wis., hospital Monday afternoon following a lingering illness. He was born in Clayton county on January 29, 1876, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joachim Harnack. His wife is the former Lena Warnholz of this community, who with their daughter, Mrs. Oliver Hermeier of Waukon, survives him. Funeral services will be conducted at the church in Waukon on Friday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock and at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Postville at 2:30 o'clock the same afternoon. Interment will be in Postville cemetery.
