Spring Grove, Minn (Special)

Funeral services for Carl Drievold,65,Hesper,Iowa,
who died Jan.16, were held Jan. 19at 2 P.M.at
Waterloo Ridge Lutheran Church, the Rev. S. O.
Sorlien officiating. Bural was in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Andrew Sollien, Everet Sollien,
Dr. Alden Drievold and Sophus Stoen. Honorary
pallbearers were Carl Evenmoe, Theodore Flatberg,
Edger Lasseson, Joel Evenmoe, Oscar Morken and
Alfred Thompson.

He died at Smith Memorial Hospital, Decorah, Iowa, where he had been a patient one week.

He was born May 22, 1900, in Allamakee county, Iowa, to Andrew and Ingeborg Danielson Drievold. He married Gena Sollien May 24, 1923.They farmed the Spring Grove area until 1939, when they moved to Hesper. He lived in these areas all his life except four years
in California.

Survivors are: His wife; three daughters, Mrs.Lyle (Irene) Sampson, La Crescent; Mrs Wayne (Shirley) Darrington, Hesper, and Mrs. Robert(Charlotte) Vang, Mabel; one son Curtis, La Crosse; 10 grandchildren, and five brothers, Ole and Lewis, Decorah; Morris and Andrew, Spring Grove, and Don, Grass Valley, Calif.
One son, Donald, was killed in World War II. His
Parents, three brothers and five half sisters have died.
