Betty Munchoff
Betty M. Munchoff, 85, of Green Bay, WI, formerly of Sparta, WI, died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation-San Luis, Green Bay, WI. Funeral services were held Sunday, February 26 at the United Methodist Church in Lansing. Burial was immediately after the church service in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing.
Born October 4, 1926 to Walter (Chip) and Verona Clancy in Lansing, Betty was a Sparta, WI resident from 1975-2005. She spent the last few years living with her son, Kurt, and his wife and two children in Green Bay, WI. She was able to hold both of those new grandbabies the day they were born and spent hours watching them grow and play in parks and on other adventures. Betty was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty loved to bowl, travel, and was a master embroiderer. She enjoyed good food, family and a cold beer every once in a while.
Betty is survived by three children, Carl Clancy, Suzanne Kowalsky and Kurt Munchoff; six sisters, Bernadine (Ronald) Feuerhelm of Hager City, WI, Belva (Milton) Gramlich of Monona, Barbara (Robert) Leppert of Lansing, Bonita McKee of Lansing, Bebe Truelson of LaCrescent, MN, and Deanna Clancy of Kenosha, WI; and a brother, Walter (Maureen) Clancy of Chicago, IL; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Munchoff; three sons, John Munchoff II, Joel Munchoff and Monte Munchoff; a grandson, Christopher Kowalsky; her parents, Walter and Verona (Pottratz) Clancy; and a sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Robert Boies.
