Mrs. Christine K. Cook, age 63, died Tuesday, October 2, 1956 at the Schoitz Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Her home was at 1942 Howard Ave., Waterloo.

The daughter of Hans and Bertha Junker, she was born April 11, 1893, in Wisconsin. Her parents and three sisters preceded her in death.

Formerly married to Frederick Weiss, she was married to Perry Cook on November 22, 1917, at Waukon, Iowa. They lived in that community until 1925, when they moved to Waterloo.

During the past 27 years she had been employed as a silk finisher at the Waterloo Laundry, retiring in April.

Confirmed a Lutheran, she was a member of the Graves Evangelical United Brethern Church.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Raymond Geiger of Waterloo;
two step-sons, Everett U. and A. Burr Cook of Postville; four grandchildren
and one great grandchild. One brother Nels Junker of Rinelander, Wisconsin, also survives.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo with the Rev. Russell Dunlop officiating. Services were also held at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville, Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the rites. Burial was in the Minert Cemetery in Postville.
