WAUKON, Iowa -- Services for Darren Snitker, 19, of Big Lake, Alaska, formerly of Waukon, were at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Martin Funeral Home, Waukon.

Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, Waukon.

Mr. Snitker, who was born in Waukon, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1987 at Palmer, Alaska, as the result of injuries received in an accident. He had lived in Alaska for the past nine years. He attended Wasilla High School and was a member of the Marine Corps Reserves.

Surviving are his mother Kathleen (Van Horn) Snitker; his father, Ronald E. Snitker; his step mother Katherine Rush; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald J. Snitker of Waukon, and maternal grandmother, Marge Van Horn of Waukon.
