Mrs. Chris Christianson (Christensen) (Martha Andersdr)died at her home on Patterson Creek on Thursday last. She was 88 years of age and five weeks ago was severely trampled and bruised by a cow and the injuries received doubtless hastened her death. The funeral took place Saturday afternoon from the Norwegian church and burial was in Oakland cemetery. Deceased is survived by her aged husband, one son Andrew of Lycurgus and two daughters, Mrs. Martin Ryan (Mary)of Union Prairie and Mrs. J.G. Johnson(Carrie) of this city. (1912)

Born 1823 Oct 14 Died 1912 Mar 28. Listed in Allamakee County Death Records but location of burial is unclear. Dale Woodmansee lists place of burial as Old East Paint Creek. Obit in Allamakee Journal gives place of burial as Oakland. Her husband is in Old East but her son and his wife are in Oakland. Dale Woodmansee lists additional source as Martin Funeral Home.
