Funeral services for Faye Ilene Lenth, age 45, of rural Elgin, Iowa, were held on Monday, December 31, 1990 at 12:30 p.m. at the Highland Lutheran Church, rural Elkader, Iowa with Rev. Harold R. McMillin, Jr. officiating. Graveside services and burial were held in the afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at the Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, Iowa. Casketbearers were Duston Snitker, Darren Snitker, Michael Snitker, Mark Snitker, Michael Lenth, and Randy Borseth.

Faye Ilene, daughter of Lawrence and Helen Marie (Goeke) Snitker, was born in Waukon, Iowa on May 12, 1945. She was baptized and confirmed at the Zion United Church of Christ in Waukon, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the Waukon area and graduated from the Waukon High School in 1963. On October 26, 1963 Faye married Eldon Lenth in Waukon, Iowa. They became the parents of four children. They lived on a farm near Elgin, Iowa for twenty years. She was the secretary at the Highland Lutheran Church, and vice-president of the WELCA. She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing cards, and puzzles. Faye will be remembered as one who lived her life to the fullest and always loved and cared for other people.

Faye Ilene Lenth, after a six month battle with cancer, died on Friday, December 28, 1990 at the Central Community Hospital in Elkader, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Snitker, on October 3, 1987 and her brother, Robert John Snitker on July 8, 1990.

Faye is survived by her mother, Helen Snitker of Waukon, Iowa, her husband, Eldon Lenth of Elgin, Iowa, her four children, also of Elgin, Lane Lenth, Lonnie Lenth, Loretta Lenth, and Lorene Lenth; her sister, Kathy Snitker, and her two brothers, Darrel Snitker and Virgil Snitker, all of Waukon, Iowa.
