Funeral services for Lucille Kathryn Rowan, age 83, formerly of Waukon, Iowa and resident of Watertown, Wisconsin, were held on Friday May 18 in Watertown at Marquardt Memorial Manor. The services were conducted by Father Michael Rickol and Rev. Schultz. Burial was in the St. Barnavis Cemetery in Mazomanie, Wisconsin. Schmutzler Funeral Home in Watertown, Wisconsin was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Dale Knipschield, Michael Pailing, Gary Ward, Donald Ward, Dennis Matteson, and Robert Moyes.

Lucille Kathryn, daughter of Thomas and Anna (Byrnes) Collins, was born May 29, 1906 in Waukon, Iowa. In June of 1929 she married Frank Rowan in Dubuque, Iowa. He died February 10, 1961. Lucille was a former school teacher and a member of the Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother James Francis Collins and a s sister, Sister Mary Thomas of Dubuque, Iowa.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Mary Pailing of Madison, Wisconsin, Kathleen Rowan of Waukesha, Wisconsin, and Angeline Knipschield of West Dundee, Illinois; 1 son, Mark Rowan of Waukesha, Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marcella Ward of Waukon, Iowa.
