Paula Ann Wohlers

Paula Ann (Pohlman) Wohlers of New Albin went to her heavenly home June 11, 2011. There will be no funeral and no visitation. Cremation services were performed at Cedar Rapids.
Paula was born January 31, 1934 to Paulus and Anna Pohlman of New Albin. She was married to Dayton Schellsmidt from May 13, 1952 through May 1969. She is survived by her husband, Bob Wohlers, whom she married August 5, 1969; her daughters, Terri (Larry) Nierling and Vicki Schellsmidt; and her sister, Dorothy Jewell. She also had much love for her step-children, Debra Catalino, Cheryl Godfrey, Robert Wohlers, Tammy Watts, Michael Wohlers and Bruce Wohlers, and the grandchildren from these families. She was very caring to her three nieces, Debra Stantic, Susan Safronoff and Cindy McFadden, and her special pet children, Shatzie and Gypsy.

In the rising of the sun and its going down, we’ll remember her.
In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, we’ll remember her.
In the opening of buds and the rebirth of spring, we’ll remember her.
In the blueness of the sky and the warmth of summer, we’ll remember her.
In the rustling of leaves and the beauty of autumn, we’ll remember her.
In the beginning of the year and when it ends, we’ll remember her.
When we have joys we yearn to share, we’ll remember her.
So long as we live, she too shall live, for she is now a part of us, as we remember her.

As an ending we will abide a final wish of Paula that she requested... “Paula is dead - Good-bye”.
