Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 28 for Ralph L. Gluck at Martin Funeral Chapel in Waukon, Iowa. The Rev. Dean Shelly was the officiating clergyman. Burial, with military rites, was held in Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, Iowa. Casket bearers were Charles Murphy, Lowell Larson, Walter Howe, Otto Thorstenson, Jack Halvorson, and Jack Wadsworth.

Ralph, son of Frederick W. and Carrie (Darling) Gluck, was born September 25, 1897 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He spent his childhood in Brownsville, Minnesota and his adult life in the Waukon, Iowa area. Ralph was a graduate of Waukon High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a mail carrier in Waukon for many years. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Ralph died Tuesday, September 25, 1990 at the age of 93 at the Good Samaritan Home in Waukon, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Edward Gluck, Robert Gluck, and Gilbert Gluck; and a sister, Elva Louise "Lou" Mason.

Survivors include 2 sisters-in-law, Marie Gluck of Waukon, Iowa and Rose Gluck of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 4 nephews, Keith Mason, and Willis Gene Mason, both of Waukon, Iowa, Guy Mason, Jr., formerly of Waukon, Iowa and Gilbert Gluck of Atwater, California; and 3 nieces, Vickie Gluck of Waukon, Iowa, Beverly Axel and June Burton, both of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
