Graveside services for Gladys Edith Wolfe, age 87, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 19 at Oakland Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Larry Olson. Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Gladys Edith, daughter of William and Roxie (Olson) Thomson, was born September 27, 1902 in Waterville, Iowa. After graduating from high school, she attended nursing school for three years. She was a registered nurse and was licensed in and worked in Minnesota, California, and Michigan. She worked for the city of Detroit, Michigan as a nurse and was a member of Redford Presbyterian Church in Detroit, Michigan. She was married to Hulbert A. Wolfe.

Gladys died Friday, September 14, 1990 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hulbert, and a sister, Mildred.

She is survived by a step-son, Robert Condit of Houston, Texas; a brother, Lester Thomson of Waukon, Iowa and 4 sisters, Betty (Curtis) Piggot of Waukon, Iowa, Eileen Howard of Laguna Hills, California, Evelyn Jones of Sun City, Arizona, and Charlotte Deacon of Arcadia, California.
