Roger Allen Harms, age 57, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Waukon, Iowa and Des Moines, Iowa died Tuesday, February 17, 1998 at his home. His body was cremated. Memorial services and burial will be held at a later date.

Roger was born April 30, 1940 in Carrville, Iowa in Floyd County to William and Caroline (Bachmann) Harms. In the early 50's, the family moved to Waukon, Iowa where Roger graduated with the Waukon High School Class of 1957.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Cora Harms, and a brother-in-law, Gordon Sivesind who died January 26, 1998.

Surviving are a son Gary Harms of Des Moines, Iowa; 4 sisters, Mabel (Bill) Ehling of Charles City, Iowa, Shirley (Walter) Sly of Des Moines, Iowa, Donna Sivesind of Waukon, Iowa, and Sharon (Donald) Larsen, also of Waukon, Iowa; and 5 brothers, Harold (Donna) Harms of San Jose, California, Willard Harms of Desert Hot Springs, California, Donald (Betty) Harms of Marble Rock, Iowa, Duane (Verna) Harms of Denver, Iowa, and David (Carol) Harms of Atlanta, Georgia.
