Mrs. Albert (Helen Hager) Henning

Mrs. Albert Henning, 67, passed away January 23, at the Memorial Hospital at Waukon. She died of a lingering illness, having been hospitalized one year.
She was buried January 25 at 2 o'clock at the Reform Church at Ludlow. The minister was Rev. Clausing.

Helen Hager, daughter of Henry and Sophia (Grotegut) Hager, was born January 13, 1892 in Ludlow township. She received her education from the school in Ludlow. She was married November 30, 1911 to Albert Henning in Ludlow. They had one child, Edgar Henning, who at present lives on the home farm in Ludlow township.

Surviving brothers and sisters are: Lydia, Mrs. Herman Nolting of Waukon; Sophia, Mrs. Earl Livingood of Postville; Hattie, Mrs. Melvin Ewing of Castalia; Elmer and Otto Hager of Castalia and Edward Hager of Waukon.

Preceding her in death are her parents; an infant sister in infancy in 1883, Ida Hager; brothers: John Hager (1921), Henry Hager (1953), William Hager (1954), and Fredrick Hager (1957).

Those who attended the funeral from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. James Ewing and family of Cedar Rapids, Mr and Mrs. J. C. Batla and family of Waterloo, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Ewing, Jr. and girls of West Union, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hager of Cresco, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hager of Monona, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Jelinek of Prairie du Chien, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Krambeer and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Yarwood of Decorah; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hager, Mrs. and Mrs. Elmer Hager and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hager, all of Castalia.
