Lee Huffman

Lee R. Huffman, 86, a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, died there Friday, April 16.

He was born June 6, 1895 in Allamakee County, the son of John and Eliza Reddy Huffman. He attended local schools and was a carpenter. He and Gladys Leas were married April 4, 1914 in Waukon. He is survived by his wife; one son, Francis of Marion; five daughters, Mrs. Joe Mead (Neva) of Center Junction, Mrs. Harvey Montour (Imogene) of Monona, Mrs. Leonard Serbousek (June) of Center Junction, Mrs. Harold Everman (Betty) of Postville and Mrs. Harry Straate (Shirley) of Waukon, 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Rose of Waukon and Mrs. Emma Fisk of Monona. He was preceded in death by a son Gene, a grandson Randy Everman, a sister Fannie Barlow and a brother Frank.

Funeral services were from Martin's funeral home Monday, April 19. The Rev. Robert Lueck conducted the services and burial was in the Rossville Cemetery.
