He was involved in Venetian Night, VFW, Lansing Fire Department, Catholic Foresters, Area 1 Community College Board, Allamakee County Fair, St. George School Board, and Immaculate Conception Church.
After the passing of his wife, Sue, in 1988, Harvey married Rosalie Weber. They moved to Lakeland, FL in 1989, where he made his home until this past January. He loved the heat and sunshine in Florida.
