Philip Groezinger

Philip J. Groezinger, 63, of Waukon died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 27 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, with Pastor Samantha Houser officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call one hour before services Thursday at Martin Funeral Home.
Philip James Groezinger was born September 26, 1947 in Waukon, the son of Boyd and Audrey (DeBuhr) Groezinger. He was baptized and confirmed at Salem United Church of Christ, rural Waukon. He went through the special education programs in Waukon, Lansing and Waterville Schools. Philip has worked at TASC in Waukon for the past 35 years. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Waukon. Philip loved his work and enjoyed fishing, camping, swimming, taking walks, bowling, playing cards and Uno.
Survivors include his parents, Boyd and Audrey Groezinger of Waukon; a brother, David Groezinger of Redwood Valley, CA; a sister, Carol (Bob) Christianson of Waukon; three nieces, Lauryn Christianson, Kelly Mahoney and Heather Kleiboer; a nephew, Brock Christianson; and an aunt, Betty DeBuhr of Waukon.
Casketbearers are Bob, Brock and Lauryn Christianson, Laina Ford, Jerry DeBuhr and Bill Adam.
