A well-known Lansing man, known far beyond his home town area because of the nature of his one-time store in Lansing, Iowa, has died. Leland "Dutch" Ritchie, age 82, died at his Lansing, Iowa home June 16, 1986. For 30 years, until retirement in 1966, Dutch and his wife Frances ran "Dutch's Place" on Lansing's main street, a small hole-in-the wall operation noted for its ice cream and wide selection of candies, and a favorite spot for youngsters whether residents of Lansing or just visitors.

Note: the correct spelling of surname is Richie (without the 't')
