Mary Prohaska, age 64, died Friday, September 19, 1986 at her home in Rockford, Illinois. She was a former Waukon, Iowa resident who leaves many relatives living in the area. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 23 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Edward's Catholic Church in Rockford, Illinois. Interment was held in Calvary Cemetery. Long, Klontz and Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mary was born September 25, 1922 in Waukon, Iowa to Charles and Mae (Dougherty) Ronan. She received her high school education in Waukon. On August 31, 1942 she married Paul Prohaska in Rockford, Illinois. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church where she also sang in the choir.

Mary is survived by her husband, Paul; 4 daughters, Mary Ellen, Pam, Beth Jann, and Lori Graber and a son, Paul Prohaska, Jr.; 5 grandchildren; a sister, Anna Thomas of Monroe, Wisconsin and 3 brothers, Norman Ronan of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Robert Ronan and Charles Ronan of Rockford, Illinois.
