Milton Sheffelbine, 21 years of age, and residing with his parents in Union City township, died at the hospital here [Waukon] Tuesday evening from injuries received in an accident at Dorchester Saturday night, says the Waukon Democrat. He and other companions were returning in an auto from a dance there. Another car passing caused him for some reason to leap from the one he was occupying and his left leg was broken below the knee, either by his fall or by the car passing over it. He was brought to the hospital here at once and his injuries attended to, but pneumonia developed which his weakened condition was unable to combat and his death followed.

FALL FROM AUTO RESULTS IN DEATH OF YOUNG MAN

Milton Sheffelbine, 21 years of age, and residing with his parents in Union City township, died at the hospital here Tuesday evening from injuries received in an accident at Dorchester Saturday night. He and other companions were returning in an auto from a dance there. Another car passing caused him for some reason to leap from the one he was occupying and his left leg was broken below the knee, either by his fall or by the car passing over it.

He was brought to the hospital there at once and his injuries attended to, but pneumonia developed which his weakened condition was unable to combat, and his death followed. His sorrowing parents and relatives were present when death ensued.

The young man is survived by his parents, one brother George, and four sisters, Mrs. Sidney Hartley, Violet, Esther and Ethel. The funeral will be held Friday at the Sheffelbine home and from the German M. D. church at Dorchester. Deceased was a member of the Woodmen camp of that place.
