Otto M. Olson, age 68, of Tracy, California, died Friday, August 12, 1977 at the home of his daughter in rural Castalia, Iowa. Funeral services were held Monday, August 15 at 11 a.m. in Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Tobiason officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Martin Funeral Home of Waukon, Iowa was in the charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Frank Lonning, Orville Bratrud, Loren Bulman, Edwin Olson, Dennis Woodmansee, and Charles Powell.

Otto was born October 30, 1908 in Allamakee County, Iowa to Louis and Mary Olson. He attended Waterville, Iowa high school. He married Irma Robey on November 5, 1930 in Waukon, Iowa. He was engaged in farming and worked in the automotive business.

Surviving are his wife, Irma; 2 daughters, Mrs. William (Shirley) Ohloff of Castalia and Mrs. Martin (Carol) Heller of Readlyn, Iowa; 2 sisters, Mrs. Invold (Inga) Bratrud of Waterville, Iowa and Mrs. Olga Peterson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a brother Stanley Olson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
