Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 8 at 2 p.m. from St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Eitzen, Minnesota for Otto E. Meyer, age 71, who died at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa on Sunday, January 5, 1986. The Rev. Lloyd Fried will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Luke's Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, Iowa is in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were John and Gerald Meyer, Duane Deters, Berdell and Donald Meiners and Dean Bulman.

Otto Meyer was born March 14, 1914 in Allamakee County, Iowa, the son of August and Augusta (Deters) Meyer. He and Calista "Chris" Farrell were married May 27, 1977 in Nashua, Iowa. He was a graduate of Waukon High
School. He attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was an electrician at Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for 25 years. A World War II veteran, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Elizabeth and Martha.

He is survived by his wife, Chris; 2 brothers, Alvin Meyer of Waukon, Iowa, Clarence Meyer of Eitzen, Minnesota, and 4 sisters, Mrs. Martin (Ruth) Deters, Mrs. Edward (Sarah) Deters, and Mrs. Flora Meiners, all of Eitzen, Minnesota, and Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Martin of Fairbanks, Alaska.
