WATERS, Milda Elizabeth (Schultz) 1903-1997

Milda Elizabeth (Schultz) Waters, the daughter of August Schultz and Dora (Schultz) Schultz, was born April 14, 1903, at Postville, Iowa. She passed away at St. Margaret Mercy Hospital in Dyer, Indiana. She had reached the age of 93 years, 8 months and 25 days.

She was graduated from the Postville High School in 1933 and also was a graduate of the Pitze School of Cosmetology.

On November 14, 1925 she was married to Leonard Waters at Clermont, Iowa. To this union, two children were born. Leonard died on Octber 22, 1931. Milda had been self-employed as a beautician in Postville until 1950, when she moved to South Bend, Indiana, and there continued in her profession until 1970. Milda then retired and moved to Highland, Indiana.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leonard, 5 brothers, Roy Schultz, Lawrence Schultz, Elmer Schultz, Kenneth Schultz and Harry Schultz and two sisters, Velma Ohloff and Bertha Wirsching.

Surviving is a daughter, Dorothy, and husband, Henry Hepp, of Highland, IN, and a son, James Waters and wife, Kay of Harrisburg, NC, 9 grandchildren, Pamela and husband, William Schiller, Michael Hepp, Cunthia and husband, Don Rastovski, Christoper Hepp and wife, Nancy, James Hepp and wife, Betsy, James Waters and wife, Cindy, Joseph Waters and wife, Sherry, Philip Waters and wife, Karen, and Anne and husband, David Day, and 16 great grandchildren, Andrew, Austin and Emily Hepp, Karlee, Aaron and Brooks Hepp, Nicholas Schiller, Elizabeth, Rose and Michael Waters, Austin, Dylan and Caitlin Waters and Connor, Ryan and Lauren Day.

Milda was a member of the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Highland, IN. She served as both Chaplain and Secretary of the Happy Highlanders' Grandmothers Club and was a member of the Our Lady of Grace Sewing Group and the Forresters.

Casket bearers were James, Joseph and Philip Waters and Christopher, Michael and James Hepp.
