Lorna Cavers, age 68, of Waukon, Iowa died Friday, June 5, 1987 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, Iowa. Services were held Monday, June 8 at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Waukon, Iowa with the Rev. Larry Olson officiating. Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Lansing Ridge Cemetery. Casket bearers were Claude Schafer, Russ Hagen, Kenneth Peake, Howard Van Ruler, Willard Kerndt, and Harlan Schellhammer.

Lorna was born in Lansing, Iowa December 9, 1918 to George and Mary (Schafer) Cavers. She graduated as valedictorian from Lansing High School. She worked for Peters Insurance Agency and also the Lansing Company. She was a member of the United Presbyterian church. She was a church choir member in both Lansing and Waukon, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Esther. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Doris Swen and Mrs. Sadie Meister, both of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
