Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Florence D. Moldenhauer, age 86, of New Albin, Iowa, died Tuesday, April 28, 1987 in the Bethany-Riverside Nursing Home, LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 1 in St. Peter's United Church of Christ. The Rev. Dan Jensen officiated. Burial was in St. Peter's Cemetery. Haugen-Roble Funeral Home of Caledonia, Minnesota was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Lavern Welper, Jeff Jannsen, Earl Wohlers, Gary Wohlers, Donald Schoh, and Merle Welper.
Florence was born February 10, 1901 in Clinton, Iowa to George and Anna (Behr) Jannsen. She married Edward Moldenhauer on May 5, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan. He died March 7, 1945. She was employed by the LaCrescent, Minnesota Health Care Center for 12 years. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ and the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary in New Albin, Iowa.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers and a son.
Survivors are a daughter, Delores Crowley of LaCrescent, Iowa; 3 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and two brothers, Arthur Jannsen of New Albin, Iowa and Carl Jannsen of Phoenix, Arizona.
