Lydia E. Marschall, age 91, formerly of New Albin, Iowa died Wednesday, October 22, 1986 in the home of her daughter in Isanti, Minnesota. Services were held Saturday, October 25 at 1:30 p.m. in the Sletten-McKee-Hanson Funeral Home, LaCrosse, Wisconsin. The Rev. John Tyler officiated and burial was in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery, LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

Lydia was born in the town of Wheatland, Iowa, Allamakee County, Iowa to Ernest and Wilhelmina (Schuttemeier) Verthein on March 9, 1895. On December 19, 1917 she married George Marschall in New Albin, Iowa. He died July 2, 1977. She was a member of St. John's Reformed United Church of Christ, LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Verthein.

Survivors are a daughter, Harriette Herman of Isanti, Minnesota, a grandchild, and a sister, Adele Stehr Travis of Lansing, Iowa.

Lydia E. Marschall, 91, formerly of La Crescent, MN, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1986, in the home of her daughter in Isanti, MN.
