Jean Ann Fahey, age 49, died Thursday, June 12, 1986 at her home in rural Waukon, Iowa. Services were held Saturday, June 14 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Albert V. Manternach officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Ralph Brandt, Gale Burroughs, Tony Urell, Emmett Larkin, Vic Byrnes, and Don Kruse.

Jean Ann was born May 31, 1937 in Rossville, Iowa Allamakee County to Richard and Vernie (Rush) Stahl. She graduated from Lansing High School. She married Paul Fahey on May 25, 1963 at St. Patrick's Church in Waukon, Iowa. She was a homemaker and employed in the food service department of the county care facility.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother in infancy.

Survivors include her husband, Paul; her children, Perry, Darrell, Eileen, Maureen, and Nancy Fahey, all at home; her mother, Vernie; 6 brothers, Everett Stahl and Allen Stahl, both of Lansing, Iowa, Lester Stahl of Postville, Iowa, Robert Stahl of Minneapolis, Minnesota, George Stahl of Iowa City, Iowa, and Gary Stahl of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Merlin (Alice) Strong of Iowa City, Iowa, Mrs. Norbert (Loretta) Strong of Lansing, Iowa, and Mrs. Jerry (Karen) Mathis of Harpers Ferry, Iowa.
