Aloysius P. Larkin, age 85, of Harpers Ferry, Iowa died Thursday, July 17, 1986 at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, Iowa. Services were held Saturday, July 19 at St. Pius Cherry Mound with Father Lawrence Kelly. Burial was in St. Pius Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Clement Larkin, John B. Larkin, Cyril Larkin, Emmett Larkin, Richard Schacht, and Edmund Tarrence.

Aloysius was born August 15, 1900 to Michael and Mary Ann (Kelly) Larkin in Paint Creek Township, Allamakee County, Iowa. He attended Waukon High School and Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He married Helen M. Dahl on June 5, 1952 at St. Pius Cherry Mound. He was a member of St. Pius Cherry Mound Church and a retired farmer.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Heffern and five brothers, James Larkin, Michael Larkin, John Larkin, Joseph Larkin, and William Larkin.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; a daughter Leann Marie Van Dyke of Manchester, Iowa and a son Peter Larkin of New Hampton, Iowa; 2 grandchildren, Ryan and Sean Larkin; and a sister, Anna Tarrence of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
