Raymond J. Strub, age 82, of Lansing, Iowa died Tuesday, August 5, 1986 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa. Services were held Thursday, August 7, 1986 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Lansing, Iowa with Father Herbert Tegeler officiating. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery with Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home of Lansing,Iowa in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Larry Sheriff, Jack Dammon, Donald Kelleher, Vincent Strub, James Strub, and Ralph Schweinfurth. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Reed, Roger Reed, Joseph Troendle, John Scholtes, Ed Walleser, Joseph Ferring, Robert Goodell, and Dan Schafer.

Raymond was born June 27, 1904 in Lansing, Iowa to John and Mary (Weipert) Strub. He married Lillian Dammon on July 19, 1927. He retired 17 years ago from farming.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, five sisters, and two grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian; a son Kenneth Strub of Lansing, Iowa and a daughter Lucille Mitchell of New Albin, Iowa; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a brother Urban Strub of Lansing, Iowa and a sister, Catherine Kelleher of Janesville, Wisconsin.
