Kathryn J. Hurley, age 96, of Caledonia, Minnesota died Sunday, November 2, 1986 in the Caledonia Health Care Center. Services were held Wednesday November 5 at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia. Msgr. John Gengler officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia, Minnesota. Steffen-McCormick Funeral Home of Caledonia was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Dale Eppert, Mark Eppert, Kenneth Myhre, Gary Myhre, John Eikens and David Eikens. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Eppert, Jim Eppert, and Paul Eikens.

Kathryn was born October 22, 1890 in New Albin, Iowa to Patrick and Julie (O'Brien) Moore. She married Frank Hurley April 21, 1920 in New Albin, Iowa. They farmed in the New Albin area until they retired to their home in Caledonia in 1957. He died January 13, 1978. She was a member of St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was active in 4-H, Homemakers, Farm Bureau, Nursing Advisory Council and Senior Citizen Volunteer program.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Survivors include three daughters, Lorna Eppert of Cincinnati, Ohio, Monica Myhre of Edina, Minnesota, and Leonette Eikens of Caledonia, Minnesota; 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leonard Moore of Lansing, Iowa.
