Waukon resident Dorothee M. Lenth, age 66, died Thursday, November 28, 1985 at University Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa. Funeral services were held Saturday November 30 at Zion United Church of Christ. The Rev. Henry Heinbuch conducted the 1:30 p.m. services and burial was in the Oakland Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Paul Sherman, Donald Bahr, Charles Bahr, Frederick Miller, Lloyd Weber, and Kevin Selberg.

A homemaker, she was born in Elkader May 31, 1919, the daughter of George J. and Caroline (Katschkowsky) Hochhaus. She graduated from the Elkader High School and attended Paris Beauty Academy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She and Edison Lenth were married September 10, 1940 in Elkader, Iowa and lived there until 1946 when they moved to Waukon, Iowa. A member of Zion United Church of Christ, Mrs. Lenth was on the church council, and was also a member of the Neighborhood Club.

She is survived by her husband; her mother Caroline Hochhaus of Waukon, Iowa; 2 sons, Edward Lenth of Lake Elmo, Minnesota and Larry Lenth of Iowa City, Iowa; 2 daughters, Mrs. George (Dianne) Maston of Bedford, Massachusetts and Mrs. Ronald (Carol) Reitan of Anoka, Minnesota; and 4 grandchildren.
