James was the son of George Washington Sr. & Anna Mariah (Rowe) Bulman. He was born in Union City, Allamakee, Iowa, and died in Seattle, King, Washington.

JAMES G. BULMAN
WAUKON, Iowa — James G. Bulman, 77, Seattle, Wash., former resident here, died Sunday in Seattle.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday here in the First Presbyterian Church. Rev. William Tjaden will officiate. Burial will be in Paint Rock Cemetery. Martins Funeral Home here is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Nov. 3, 1884 to Mr. and Mrs. George Bulman in Union City Township in Allamakee County. He married Bina LaValle July 3, 1907. She died Feb. 14, 1948. He married Jean A. Bulman Nov. 21, 1949. He farmed here until 1949 when he moved to Seattle.

Surviving are his widow; four sons, Donald and Eldon, Harpers Ferry, Ronald, Cassville, Wis., and George, Augusta, Mont.; one brother, Ray, Tarpon Springs, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Friends Attended Bulman Funeral

Many old friends and relatives attended last rites for James G. Bulman at First Presbyterian church in Waukon with the Rev. Mr. Wm. Tjaden officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph cemetery with the Rev. Fr. Peters officiating.

Pallbearers were: Bernard Houlihan, Clarence Bulman, George Shefelbine, Dewey Leppert, Robert Promnitz and Anthony Bulman.

Those who attended from a distance were: Raymond D. Bulman, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Young and Clarence Young of Auburndale, Wis.; Mrs. Anna Pignet [sic] of Marshfield, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sires, Hawkeye; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Middendorf, Caledonia, Mn.; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Sires, James Sires, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Crowley of New Albin; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Reimer, Littleport; Mr. and Mrs. James S. Bulman, Chariton; Mr. and Mrs. Roland Bulman family of Cassville, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Hartley, Ester Shefelbine and Mrs. Nrobert Meyer, Dubuque.

James Bulman, son of George and Ann Rowe Bulman, was born Nov. 3, 1884, on English Bench near Dorchester. He passed away at Seattle, Wash., Oct. 8, 1961 at the age of '76 years.

He was married July 3, 1907 to Sabina Lavelle of Leeds, N.D., who passed away Feb. 14, 1948. He is survived by four sons, Donald and Eldon of Harpers Ferry, Roland of Cassville, Wis., and George Augusta, Mont. There is one brother, Ray, of Tarpan Springs, Fla. There are 13 grandchildren and four great grandsons as well as several nieces and nephews.

On November 21, 1948 he married Gene Armstrong Bulman of Benton, Washington, who survives along with her two children Roy Bulman of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Leota Tuttle of Renton, Wash.
