Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 7 at 1:30 p.m. from Schultz Funeral Home in Monona, Iowa for Lorraine Wilma Hamm, age 61, of Waterville, Iowa who died Monday, August 5, 1985 at Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. The Rev. Marion Bloodworth officiated at the services. Pallbearers were David Holroyd, Barton Hamm, Fred Schlitter, Roger Benzing, Les Erickson, and Steve Jones. *The obituary did not say the place of burial. A possibility is the Sixteen Cemetery in Linton Township.*

Lorraine was born January 7, 1924 at Harpers Ferry, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Floy (Clawson) Jones. She received her education in the rural schools. She married Herbert H. Schlitter in 1942. He was killed in an accident in 1970. They were the parents of 2 children. On April 2, 1977 she married Harmon Hamm at Monona, Iowa.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her first husband, Herb Schlitter, and 2 sisters, Pearl Evelyn Hamm and Helen Marie Brown.

Surviving are her husband, Harmon Hamm; a son Richard "Dickie" Alwyn Schlitter of Sherrill, Iowa; a daughter, Carolyn Floy (Mrs. Jack Brown) of Tacoma, Washington; 2 step-sons Kenneth Hamm of New Sharon, Iowa and Keith Hamm of Dubuque, Iowa; a grandson, Jamie Allen Brown of Tacoma, Washington; 11 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mrs. Robert (Irene) Benzing of Gays Mills, Wisconsin, Mrs. Marvel (Vera) Redalen of Fountain, Minnesota, Mrs. Guy (Ruth) Hamm of Sherrill, Iowa, and Mrs. Stanley (Janet) Miller of Riverside, Iowa; and 5 brothers, Carlton Jones of Waterville, Iowa, John C. Jones, Dayton Jones, and Milton Jones all of Harpers Ferry, Iowa, and Leon Jones of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
