Albert Hein, age 81, of Eitzen, Minnesota, formerly of New Albin, Iowa died Thursday, October 27, 1988 in Tweeten Lutheran Health Care Center in Spring Grove, Minnesota. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 31 in St. John's United Church of Christ, Wheatland. The Revs. Douglas and Louise Gordon-Denniston officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Haugen-Roble Funeral Home, Caledonia, Minnesota was in charge of the arrangements. Casket bearers were Harold Meyer, Paul Gade, Arlyn Hein, Wendell Wild, Rodney Meiners, and Laurence Salzwedel.

Albert was born December 6, 1906 in Jefferson Township, Houston County, Minnesota to Henry and Anna (Kruckenberg) Hein. On June 3, 1931 he married Hulda Wunnecka in Peace United Church of Christ, Crooked Creek Township, Houston, Minnesota. He attended rural school in Jefferson Township and lived and worked on a farm in Jefferson all his life until moving to Eitzen, Minnesota in 1985. He was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ, Wheatland, rural New Albin, Iowa and was a member of the church council for eight years. He was also a member of the Jefferson Township Board for 24 years.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, and three sisters.

Survivors are his wife; a son Norlin Hein of Columbia, Missouri; 2 daughters, Vilas Cordes of Eitzen, Minnesota and Lorna Travis of Milton, Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; a brother Karl Hein of LaCrescent, Minnesota and a sister, Wilhelmina Meiners of Caledonia, Minnesota.
